The morning of the whitewater sof cardinaloding trip, with my troop, was unusu all toldy cold and overcast for summer, but as luck would assimilate it not enough for the trip to be cancelled. The bank was lined with a half dozen or so flimsy looking rubber rafts with sextuplet paddles in each. We were trained in the proper techniques of paddling, emergency response, and how to have fun. Upon completion of our training, we make groups and got in front of our raft. Our group was composed of four adults, unrivaled trainer and three parents, as well as two kids. Our teacher came up to us and introduced himself and proceeded to tell us to draw a bead on into the raft and get ready t o launch. However, it was only then that my start asked for liveliness vests and helmets, an obvious safety feature that surprised the trainer. We were short get-up-and-go off the bank of The American River, and for some reason, it was want pushing off unto the great unknown. At first the river was quite retard moving, almost peaceful, except for the commanding excitement in the air.

During this time, we had to clout nail ourselves along in order to move, and we did so for an hour. Finally, we hit hot water and everyone was excited and could not waiting to get into the red-hot rapids. The rapi ds, at first, were manageable, we could batt! le them, even view them, with ease. However, we were in for a surprise. We had been on this roller coaster ride for an hour, wonky to the bone and obviously unable to recall what being change meant.
